We retained two of our beautiful female pups Bella & Stella to run on as our show prospects. As they grew we assessed their physical and mental suitability for showing. Bella was quietly confident and very laid-back, almost to the extent of being lazy. Stella was her polar opposite even as a tiny baby she was very interactive with us and she became a very outgoing and adventurous girl.
Stella had the better conformation of the two, however we knew her ‘inner thrill seeker’ would find showing, which is a monotonous activity, dull and boring. Unfortunately due to a back condition I was not able to take part in the type of dog sports that Stella would enjoy and I didn’t want her mental and physical capabilities being wasted. So the difficult decision was made to search for a more suitable home for her and…we are thrilled to say we found one!
Stella is very lucky girl as her new mum Michelle is not only a responsible, caring and experienced Corso owner but she also appreciates a dog with a bit of spark! Michelle is looking forwards to utilising and enhancing Stella’s attributes in obedience and other dog sports.
In the very distant future we hope to incorporate Stella (in partnership with Michelle) in our breeding program...but more importantly, right now Michelle is enjoying forming a solid lifelong bond with Stella and moulding a happy and healthy Corso.
